Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family after a short illness on March 22, 2016 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 75.
She will be missed by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard and her cherished children, Ken, Harold (Dawn) and Virginia (Carmine) Ciaraldi. Much loved Granny to Brittney (Scott), Jenna (Jesse), Sean, Shannon and Sydney and Great-Granny to Carter and Declan. She was loved by her siblings, Roddie (Margie), late Sylvia (Buddy), Danny (Adrian), Corrine (Heckie), Wanda, Melinda (Jackie), Nayland (Debbie), Murray (Jannette), Paul (Florence), Carrie (Tom), Glen (Ginette) and Terry (Corinna). She will be missed by Richard's family - Lief (the late Amelda), Gretta (the late George), the late Eric (Tease), Felix (Diane) and Esther (Elmer), and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Kenny and Janie MacAskill and in-laws, Richard and Jenny Ahle.
Mary loved many things in life but was most passionate about her family, quilting, Project Smile and was a member of the Niagara Heritage Quilters Guild.
Mary's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, Ont. on Monday, March 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 29th at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial to follow in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
