GALLANT, TILMON
(1920-2016)
ST-CHARLES – Tilmon Gallant, 95, of St-Charles passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital on March 27th, 2016. Born in St-Charles, he was the son of the late Antoine and Léa (Richard) Gallant.
Tilmon worked at the C.P.R. in Saint-John for 35 years. He was a horse racing fan and loved to play cards and checkers. He lived a quiet and reserved life.
Tilmon will be fondly remembered by his sister, Alice Dysart (Late Langton) of Moncton; his sister-in-law, Marian Gallant (late Eloi) of Fredericton; as well as his nieces and nephews, Marie Mitchell of Restigouche, QC, Andrew Dysart (Elisabeth) of California, USA, Edward Dysart (Joyce) of Irishtown, Ann Marie Case (Robert) and Francine Cowperthwaite (Marty), both of Frederiction.
Besides his parents, Tilmon is predeceased by his brother, Eloi (2015).
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto, on Thursday from 1:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 31st, 2016 at 4:00pm, Saint-Charles-Borromée Roman Catholic Church, St-Charles, with interment to be held later in the spring in the parish cemetery.
Donations in Tilmon’s memory made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
