Hester Jean Crozier
1921-2016
The death occurred peacefully at the Garden Home, Charlottetown on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, of Hester Jean (Boates) Crozier, of Charlottetown, and formerly of Carleton Lot 6, in her 95th year.
Mother of Zellah (Stewart) Johnston of Cornwall, and grandmother to Ryan, Aaron and Marla (Robert Houghton).
Hester was the last surviving member of the family of the late Burton and Dolly Boates. She was predeceased by her husband, Elmo; son, Allan; sister, Lulu and her husband, Edwin Turner; brother, Randall and his wife, Thelma; brother, Arnold; sister-in-law, Millicent (Crozier) and her husband, Lorne Silliker.
Working alongside her husband, she and Elmo provided comfort to many over the years in their capacity as co-owners of the Crozier Funeral Home.
Hester will be lovingly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, her sister-in-law, Beverly Makin, and daughter-in-law, Cathy Crozier.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to family friend David Smith, Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visitation will be held at Belvedere Funeral Home in Charlottetown on Friday, April 1, from 6:30-9 p.m. There will be viewing at the O'Leary United Church on Sunday, April 3, from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Church at 3 p.m. Interment to occur at a later date in the family plot in the Bloomfield United Church Cemetery.
