LeBLANC, JEAN-PAUL "J.P."
Jean-Paul “J.P.” LeBlanc, 73, of Moncton, passed away on Monday March 28, 2016 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Born August 29, 1942 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Aurèle “Harold” and Marie “Mary” (Richard) LeBlanc. 
J.P. is survived by his wife of 50 years, Marilyn (Taylor); two sons: Chris (Natalie) LeBlanc of Moncton and Todd LeBlanc from Calgary; one sister, Jackie Lewis of Moncton; three brothers: Robert (Joanne) of Fredericton, Terry of Riverview and Claude (Joanne) of Halifax; his only grandson Alex that he adored, several nieces and nephews.
After he retired from CN Express, Phentex Yarn and Klassen Bronze, he worked at the Royal Oaks Golf Club.  J.P. loved Myrtle Beach whole heartedly, where he played lots of golf with some great friends.  Over the years, he played baseball with the Moncton Schooners as well as slow pitch and hockey with the Moncton Roadrunners. He was inducted into three sports walls of fame (Moncton, Dieppe and Memramcook) all for baseball.   He also coached minor hockey and baseball for a number of years. He was a member of the UCT (United Commercial Travelers), the Knights of Columbus 1310 and a lifetime member of the Moncton Press Club.  He was also a past member of the Elks, Air Force Vets, Lakeside and Moncton Golf Clubs.
There will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton, on Saturday, April 16th at 11:00 am with a reception being held afterwards at the Royal Oaks Golf Club.
In memory of JP, a contribution to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
