Passed away in New Westimister, B.C. on April 1, 2016 aged 72 years. Predeceased by parents Albert and Mary Goosney and infant brother Albert. John is survived by his loving wife Janet (Woodruff), his sons Albert (Patricia) and Richard (Teresa), daughter Sandra Thompson (Alex), and grandchildren Natasha and Tyler. He is also survived by his two brothers Robert (Lorraine) and Richard (Diane) and their families and by parents-in-law Dr. Fred and Mary Woodruff, brothers-in-law Stephen (Katja) and Paul (Lisa) Woodruff; sister-in-law Kate (John) Saunders and their families. Cremation has taken place. A donation to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made in his memory.
