Passed suddenly yet peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on April 2, 2016, Wayne (Brent) Cole, age 51, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Predeceased by his father-in-law Richard Johnson, granddaughter Paige O'Reilly, grandparents Nelson and Beatrice Penney and Lewis and Bessie Cole. Leaving to mourn, loving wife Mary; sons Kevin (Linda), Christopher (Steph); daughter Amy (Ryan); grandchildren, Sebastian, Andre, Sophie, and Michael; parents Pastor Clarence and Daphne Cole, mother-in -law, Bertha Johnson; sisters Bonnie (Brian), Barbara, (Dale); and brother Brad (Kim), multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and longtime friends and colleagues. Brent loved the beauty of nature and had a unique appreciation for the finer elements in life. His truest blessings were his beloved wife Mary, his children, and his four precious grandchildren. He thrived for many years as a conservation officer and more recently embarked on a new journey as a writer. All who knew Brent will miss his warm and approachable smile. He was an charismatic speaker, but an even better listener. He will be sadly missed by all those he touched on his life journey. A very special thank you to Jane Ball, Dale Higdon and Velma Reid for their longtime support to Brent over the past several years. Additionally, thank you to Dr. Mark Stefanelli and nurse Janet Brown. Thank you to the Health Sciences Centre staff at the emergency department and the ICU. Visitation to take place at Holloway's Funeral Home, Whitbourne on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm; Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 10 am to 12 pm and 2-5 pm. Cremation has taken place. Funeral will take place in Victoria at the Victoria United Church at 2 pm on Thursday, April 7, 2016.
