BLAIKIE, Roberta Alice – 79, Truro, passed away peacefully, with her loving husband at her side, on Sunday evening, April 3, 2016, at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Bible Hill, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Barteaux) Burch. Roberta is survived by her husband, Richard Blaikie; son, Kerry (Darlene) Blaikie, Mahone Bay; daughters, Debra Dorse, Pictou; Pamela “Pam” (Kirk) Saint, Truro; grandchildren, Tanya Boomer (Basil Baker), Jason Boomer (Jennifer Daley), Joseph Boomer (Kim Adams), Ashley Saint, Zachary Saint; several great grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Langille, Barrie, Ontario; Ethel (Edward) MacSwain, Bible Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Charlotte (William) Bell, Marjorie Blackie-Stevens; brother, Kenneth Burch; son-in-law, Nick Dorse. Graveside service will be held at a later date in Bible Hill Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Roberta’s memory to a charity of choice are welcomed.
