MacDONALD, ELDON LINDSEY
It is with sadness that the family of Eldon Lindsey MacDonald of Jemseg, and most recently, of Fredericton Junction, announce his passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 4, 2016. Eldon was born in Gray Rapids, NB, on May 30, 1930. He was the son of the late Pearl Kelly and Ronald MacDonald and husband of the late Margaret Luke and second wife, late, Lois Dykman.
Eldon loved to hunt and fish. He started a hobby farm when he retired from truck driving.
Eldon is survived by one daughter Brenda (Robert)Connolly, four sons; Raymond “Dick” (Teena), Kelvin “Cub”, Bernie (Madonna), Chris (Willa), one step-son Ronnie Dykman, three sisters; Janet, Marina and Norvaline (Gordie), five brothers; Norman (Irene) Lorne (Marilyn), James (Maxine), Murch (Mary) and Orlie (Gloria), eight grand children; Scott, Melinda, Chris, Sabrina, Mariah, and Stephan MacDonald, Ryan Connolly and Jennifer Connolly-Gordon (Mark) and one step-grandchild Germaine Carr, five great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with Eldon’s parents and both wives, Eldon is also predeceased by a daughter Linda, a son Wendell, two sisters; Aldine and Betty, two brothers Campbell and Jack, baby brother, Lorne Ellery, half-brother Earl Kelly.
Visitation will be held at Sunbury Funeral Home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. The funeral will be on Friday, April 8, 2016, 2 pm at Nu-Life Pentecostal Church (Abundant Grace) in Tracy, with Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Tracy United Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
If you wish, donations may be made in memory of Eldon to the Kidney foundation, Tracy United Baptist Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
