It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dawn Sandra White age 49 of Amherst announce her passing on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS.
Born in St. Anthony, NL she was a daughter of Eric and Mae (Taylor) Patey.
Dawn worked at Gables Lodge, Amherst for 10 years as a Dietary Aid, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
Dawn is survived by her husband Otis, son Stephen (Sabrina) Patey of Labrador, NL and daughter Hailey White at home, two grandsons Tyler and Ethan Patey, siblings Owen, Scott (Beverley), Chris (Olivia), Faye (Frank) Byrne all of Newfoundland and Dwayne of Edmonton, AB and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Tom and Louise Taylor and her paternal grandparents William and Isabella Patey.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 7 – 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 -4 and 7 – 9 p.m. in Campbell’s Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-9906)
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Amherst with Lt. Stephen and Rosalyn Toynton officiating.
Interment will take place in the Westbrook Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Dawn’s memory may be made to the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre Palliative Care Unit or the Canadian Cancer Society.
