RICHARD, ELIZABETH
1925 - 2016
Elizabeth Richard, of Residence Belcourt, Shediac and formerly of Scoudouc, passed away on Sunday April 10th 2016, at the age of 90. Born in Shediac on July 18th, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Georges Vautour (1968) and Alice Bourque (1993).
Elizabeth was a dear mother and homemaker, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and a good friend to all. She was a member of the Scoudouc Club D’Age D’Or. She loved to laugh, have fun, enjoyed a good party with family and friends, and would never say no to a dance.
She will be forever missed by one daughter, Claudette Gaudet (Léo-Paul) of Scoudouc; six sons: Gérard Bourque (late Rose-Irene) of Shediac, Yvon Bourque (late Paulette) (Linda) of Saint-André-LeBlanc, Clarence Richard (Brenda) of Dieppe, Raymond Richard (Monique) of Dieppe, Bernard Richard (Nicole) of Shediac and Bertin Richard (Dawn-Lee) of Shediac-Bridge; three sisters: Rita Bourgeois (late Simeon) of Shediac, Evangeline Richard (late Adrien) of Dieppe and Laura Vautour of Moncton; two brothers: Emile Vautour (Rose) of Shediac and Pat Vautour (Jeannette) of Grand-Barachois; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her first husband, Aquila Bourque (1954); second husband, Léonard Richard (1988); two sisters: Alma Vautour and Lina Boudreau; three brothers: Edgar, Euclide, Alphonse.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the Doctors and Nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital for their compassion, also want to extend a special thank you to her Family Physician Dr. Conrad Legresley for looking after our mother.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated Thursday April 14th at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 9 am until time of funeral. A reception will be held following the service.
In-lieu of flowers, the family would much appreciate any memorial donations in Elizabeth’s memory to be made to a Charity of the donor’s choice.
