Fister, Allan
Allan Fister, at the age of 84, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina, SK with family by his side. Allan was predeceased by his mother Marguerite Morris, father Pete Fister, stepfather Lorne Morris and sister Twyla Mudry. He is survived by his wife Barb Fister, their children Didi Schmitz (Cam Schmitz), Allen Fister and Paul Fister (Allison Given), grandchildren Myles Fister (Teri Mawson), Amber Finiak (Kelly Finiak), Stephanie Dowling (Justin Strate), Katie Fister (Mark Reimer), Dylan Fister, Brett Fister, Julia Given, Greg Given and Michael Schmitz, great-grandchildren Brooklyn, Jayce, Chase, Max, Zachery and Braxton. Allan retired after spending 27 years serving in the Canadian Armed Forces and then went to work at Kalium where he worked for 15 years before retiring. In his younger days, Allan enjoyed coaching hockey and little league baseball. He loved to watch the Blue Jays play and hardly ever missed a game, but his true passion was his gardens. Allan was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion where he loved to play darts every Thursday night. In keeping with Allan's wishes, a private family Graveside Service will be held.
