Sebelius –Deanna Marilyn (nee Gawne), of Penticton, BC
Daughter of James Albert (Mac) Gawne – deceased – and Marjorie Alberta (nee Overton) winged her way to Heaven this day, April 10, 2016.
Born in Penticton on October 30, 1944, Deanna spent her junior years in the family orchards of Naramata, BC. Marriage, children and adventure took her to many parts of Canada throughout her life. After the passing of her husband “Garth Sebelius” Deanna returned to Penticton to be near family and friends. Her stay was shortened by unfortunate circumstances tho, but, Deanna would wish all her friends, old and new, her family and surviving children to know each person touched her in a special way and made her life a happy, joyous occasion.
Through her crafts, sewing, and other interests Deanna brought a brightness and love into all our lives. Tho she leaves behind her children, grandchildren, sisters, mother and friends, her wish was for us all to love life, love family, love yourself. God Bless.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held at a later date in Naramata, BC, where Deanna requested to be laid to rest near “Granny” in the Naramata Cemetery. Donations to your local hospice or to Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
