It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ida Levina Blackwood announce her peaceful passing at the Palliative Care Unit of Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age of 54 years. Leaving to mourn, her loving and devoted husband of 27 years Brian. Also leaving to mourn with great loving memories, her children Jennifer (John) and Jason (Felicia); grandchildren Tyler "Nanny's Angel", Emily "Nanny's Treasure", Jacob "Nanny's Pride and Joy", and Faith "Nanny's Baby Doll"; brothers Jerry (Jocelyn), Albert (Joan), Bert (Elaine), Lorne (Paulette), and sister Jane; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends, including her special friend Marg. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Emily Marshall. In keeping with Ida's wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road today from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. from Country Haven Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wendy Lowden officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations are graciously accepted to the Daffodil Place, St. John's.
