INGALLS, JEAN AUDREY
(1922-2016)
Mrs. Jean Audrey Ingalls of Seal Cove Grand Manan Island passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Grand Manan Nursing Home several hours after the passing of her loving husband Weldon. Born at Saint John she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Susan (Campbell) Stanley.
Jean married her husband Weldon in 1946, and was a registered nurse at the time. Following their return to Grand Manan from St. Andrews she cared for shut-ins and eventually left nursing and focused on raising their family. Like her husband Weldon she was well grounded in her faith as she also served the Lord at the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church as a Sunday School Teacher, and also sang in the Choir. She was a seamstress as she made clothes for her family and enjoyed baking and spending time with several close friends. She will be remembered most for her love she gave as a wife and a caring mother.
She is survivied by one daughter Margaret (Truman) Dakin, Seal Cove, one son John (Maxine) Ingalls, Winnipeg, MB. One sister-in-law Belva (Beverly) Brown, Seal Cove, she is also survived by five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by five sisters; Irene Gervais, Almeta Curuso, Thelma Keirstead, and Dora Ingram. Also four brothers; Murray, Fred, George, and Grenville.
Visiting for both Jean and her husband Weldon will take place at the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church on Friday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. Their funeral service will take place at the Church on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating. The interment will follow at the Spruce Grove Cemetery.
