Mahoney, John Michael
John Michael Mahoney, 88, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday, April 21, 2016. Born in Gagetown, he was the only son of Clemence and Louise (Kelly) Mahoney. Mike attended Gagetown Consolidated School and graduated from the Agricultural College in Truro, NS. He worked for the Department of Agriculture for several years and later on retired as a Probation Officer with the Department of Justice.
A member of St. Augustine’s Catholic Church, Mike enjoyed gardening, reading and the companionship of his late canine friends, Jessie, Annie and Peggy.
Mike will be sadly missed by his wife of 45 years, Jean (Davis).
In honoring Mike’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. A Memorial Service will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:30 pm, with Rev. Laurence Quin-Morris presiding. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
