It is with heavy hearts that we, the family announce the passing of Alex 'Whitie' Rigby on April 21, 2016 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital surrounded by his family.
Born and raised in New Waterford, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Anastasia (MacLeod) Rigby.
He is survived by his two sisters Vina Black, Ontario; Lina Perfect, Reserve Mines and sister-in-law Veronica Rigby, New Waterford as well as several nieces and nephews.
Alex was predeceased by one sister, Mary Carmel and two brothers, Willard 'Happy' and Vincent 'Red'.
Cremation has taken place and a chapel service will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. with Fr. Ray Huntley officiating. Burial to follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of McLellan Brothers Funeral Home, 3183 Plummer Avenue, New Waterford, 902-862-7500.
