DOUGLAS, RUTH EILEEN
Ruth Douglas, formerly of 277 City Road passed away on April 24th, 2016, at the Loch Lomond Villa. She was born on March 15th, 1925 in Saint John; a daughter of the late Warren and Margaret (Brown) Douglas.
In her working years, she was employed by Bellevue Films, in the accounts department. Ruth was a devoted animal lover; she always had cats and dogs.
She is survived by sisters Marion (the late Francis) Larkin of St. Stephen and Mary (Kevin) Kennedy of Saint John; nephews Francis (Terry Lee) Martin and Douglas MacQuarrie, as well as nieces Elicia Martin and Mary Kennedy.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her sister Lillian Martin, and brother-in-law Gerald Martin.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Although there is no visitation, family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of the Loch Lomond Villa. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
