MURPHY, RITA C.
The death of Rita Catherine Murphy, wife of the late Aubrey Murphy, occurred at Embassy Hall, Quispamsis, NB on April 24, 2016. Rita was a kind and generous spirit and will be missed by all who knew her. Her life was a wonderful example of unconditional love for family and friends. Upon their return to Canada they resided in Dartmouth, Summerside and Saint John where Rita was an office administrator with the Victorian Order of Nurses for many years until her retirement at age 66. She developed lifelong friendships with many of the nurses and staff including Paula Binette who remained a close friend and support until the very end.
Rita and Aubrey moved to Quispamsis in 1976 and were active members at St. Mark's Catholic Church from its inception. Rita remained in Quispamsis after Aubrey’s passing and lived in her own home until age 94. She moved to Concorde Hall in 2012 and enjoyed her time at Shannex. The family would like to thank the kind employees of Concorde Hall and Embassy Hall for their wonderful care and compassion.
