Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, April 24, 2016, Matthew J. Lahey of Harbour Grace; formerly of Bell Island, age 81 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Bridget; Daughter: Mary 'Elaine' Lahey; son: Johnny Charles; grandson: Alexander Joseph McEachern; brothers: Jack, Leo and Cyril; sisters: Ellen, Geraldine, Annie, Mary and Margaret; sister-in-law: Helen Purcell. Leaving to mourn beloved wife of 58 years: Mary 'Mame'; three children: Matthew (Fiona), Veronica (Alvin) McEachern, both of Ontario, and Garry (Karen), Mt. Pearl; five grandchildren: Dereck, Lucas, Brooklyn, Ryan and Kyle; five great-grandchildren: Brayden, Breanna, Alex, Jayden and Maddison; daughter-in-law: Chantel Lahey, ON; two brothers: Wally (Della), Blackhead, and Bill (Helen), ON; two sisters: Theresa Thomey, Bristol's Hope, and Shirley O'Shea, Hr.
