David McCormick

McCORMICK, DAVID
David Frederick McCormick peacefully passed away on March 17th, 2016 at the Marianhill Palliative Care Center in Pembroke, Ontario. Dave was born in Saint John, NB on May30th 1935 where he lived until moving to Ontario.
David was predeceased by his parents; Charles McCormick and Marion (Enslow) McCormick, a brother William, two sisters, Michelle Hubbard and Cecily McCormick. He was also predeceased by a son, William, and grandson Joey Faubert.
David is survived by his wife Margaret (Chaisson) of 55 years and children Robert, Lynn (Poulet), Marcie (Faubert), Edward and Michael, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Gerard (Lydia) of Ottawa, and Ralph (Donna), along with sisters Susan (James Miller), and Judy (Gary Lockhart) all of Saint John, as well as his sister-in-law Dorothy McCormick of Surrey, B.C. and brother-in-law David Hubbard of New York.
During his early years David worked for Irving as a mechanic on their Tanker Ships and then worked on the Ice Breakers as far North as Alert. He then moved to Ontario and travelled for the Marian Movement of Priests crossing the country many times.
A funeral mass and interment will be held at St. Augustine’s, Westfield, NB on Wednesday, May 4th at 9am. Interment at St. Augustine’s cemetery to follow the mass.
