SMITH, ALBERTA YVONNE
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alberta Yvonne Smith of Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at Parkland Shannex-Frederick Hall, Fredericton, NB. She was born in Fredericton, NB the daughter of the late James and Irene (McKeil) Forbes.
Alberta was a Certified General Accountant. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church; past member of the ELK’s Club and the Fredericton Curling Club. Over the years, Alberta enjoyed golfing, playing bridge and especially time spent with family.
Alberta is survived by her daughter, Donna Wheaton of Fredericton, NB; sons, Dale Smith of Harvey, NB and Terry Smith (Anne) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Kim Embleton (Mark), Mark Wheaton (Jennifer), Todd Smith (Kelly), Sean Smith (Linda), Kerri Smith (James) and Greg Smith (Natasha); numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ivan Forbes (Leah) of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased grandson, Andrew Smith; sister, Winnie Bradbury and brother, Ronald Forbes.
A Private Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ellen Bearisto officiating. A Private Interment will take place in Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery.
