HOLDER, MYRTLE "ARLENE"
1925 – 2016
Arlene Holder of Moncton passed away following a brief illness at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, April 29, 2016. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late Garnett and Irene (McNab) Acton.
Arlene had her own afternoon television show on ATV during the late 1950’s and most of the 1970’s, she lived a very active and full life having been associated with several charities and organizations in the Moncton area and was also very active in many sports that she played competitively.
She will be sadly missed by her three sons; Michael of Dieppe, Christopher (Kerry) of Hillsborough and Patrick (Cathy) of Moncton, three grandchildren; Gillian (Nick), Kelly (Andre) and Sean (Nat), five great grandchildren; Joey, Xander, Keeley, Piper and Grady, as well as her cherished friends and extended family; Nancy Geddes and Barb Patterson. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Norman Holder, two sons; David and Eric, as well as her second husband, Pat Patterson.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home and the staff of 4600 at The Moncton Hospital in particular, Dawn Tucker, the staff of the coronary intensive care unit, Dr. Chris Loisier and Dr. Robert Forbes as well as a thanks to personal care givers Marielle Despres and Joko.
In honoring her wishes a private family gathering will be held to remember and celebrate her extraordinary life. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007).
Donations to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or the Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
