LeBLANC, DÉSIRÉ "DESI"
Désiré “Desi” LeBlanc, 80, of Shediac passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Sunday May 1st, 2016. Born in Cocagne on December 28th, 1935, he was the son of the late Joseph and Delia (Cormier) LeBlanc.
A former body man, Desi, was a retired appraiser with Co-Operators insurance. Prior to his illness, he remained active enjoying cross-country skiing, biking and skating.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of 58 years, Anita (Richard); two daughters: Nicole Belliveau (Jean-Guy) and Monique LeBlanc (Adrien “Babe”) both of Shediac; two sons: Maurice of Moncton and Roland of Shediac; two sisters: Stella Caissie of Grande-Digue and Florine Léger (Hector Pellerin) of Shediac; a brother, Father Ulysse LeBlanc of Moncton; four grandchildren: Francine, Mathieu, Nadine and Julien; four great-grandchildren: Brooklyn, Marissa, Mason and Megan, many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers: Father Yvon and Alderic.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the doctors and nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital and extramural nurses.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Wednesday May 4th, 2016 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday May 5th, 2016 at 10:30am. Inurnment in the Frenette Funeral Centre Columbarium, Shediac.
In memory of “Desi”, a contribution to the palliative care unit at the CHU Dumont foundation would be appreciated.
