Connie Mogus

Connie passed away suddenly on April 27, 2016 at the Dr. F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Johnnie (1975). Loving mother of Ron (Heather), grandmother of Ryan and Mark. She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers-in-law Gerald Kromm (Ruth), Harry Snaith and by her niece Diane Theodorescu (Dan). She is predeceased by her brothers Ralph and Bill Causier (Yvonne), brothers-in-law Paul Mogus (Doris), George Mogus (Helen) and sisters-in-law Mary Weber (Jack), Gladys Viger (Glenn), Freda Brewster (John) and Ilene Snaith. Connie was born in Weyburn, SK, on April 25, 1932 to Tom and Annabelle Causier. She grew up attending public school and high school in Weyburn. As a young woman, she moved to Moose Jaw in the mid 50's and began working in the offices of the Providence Hospital. It wasn't long before she caught the attention of Johnnie Mogus at a local dance. The couple were wed in 1956 at Knox Presbyterian Church in Weyburn, but settled in Moose Jaw. Connie was a dedicated mother, but also loved her job at the Providence Hospital. She remained there until her retirement in 1995 after 41 years of diligent service. She made many friends there, people that she continued to socialize with for many years after retiring. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, especially with a good cup of tea, but particularly enjoyed her family and attending her grandson’s events. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkview Funeral Chapel, 474 Hochelaga St. W, Moose Jaw, with Reverend Bob Langdon officiating. Connie will be laid to rest beside her husband Johnnie at Rosedale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Moose Jaw Humane Society, 1755 Stadacona St W, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 7K7.
