Matthew Dyck

Passed on: April 28th, 2016

1971 - 2016
Matthew Allen Dyck of Regina, SK tragically passed away in Banff, AB on Thursday, April 28, 2016. He was in his favourite place surrounded by his loved ones at his untimely death. Matthew is survived by the love of his life Melissa; his children Mason, Jazmyn and Mikayah; parents Allen and Olive; sister Victoria, nieces Autumn, Ebanie and Jade; in-laws George and Lila; sisters-in-law Melanie and Taya; brother-in-law Jeff; and nieces Alexa and Kaelie. He was predeceased by his grandparents Peter and Rose. Matthew had a tenacious spirit and loved spending time with his friends and family. He had an appreciation and love for the outdoors, hunting and golfing. With Matthew’s passing it is evident that he had an ability to touch so many people in different ways throughout his life. He worked at Advanced Engineering for 20 years and made many lifelong friends which is where he met his best friend Wayne. Wayne was Matthew’s co-worker, hunting partner and most importantly, a confident and friend – as Matt would say his “older brother”. Change was hard for Matthew, but he took a leap of faith and decided to pursue his passion to help people. He attended the New School of Structural Integration in Laguna Beach to pursue this dream. He fell in love with his new career and was able to help so many people which was his ultimate goal in life. Matthew was a quiet and humble man that would always sit back and watch from afar with his signature grin that he will always be remembered for. Everyone that knew Matthew, knew that he lived his life and created the life he wanted through action and a set of principles. Matthew may you rest in peace, knowing that you accomplished that and that you touched and influenced so many people that will miss you dearly. This is not a goodbye Matt, as we know we will see you again someday. Rest in Peace. A VISITATION will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. A CELEBRATION OF MATTHEW’S LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to sign the online obituary and tributes page at www.reginafuneralhome.ca.
