Of Upper Island Cove passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, St. John's on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Mr. Reid was 70 years old. He leaves to mourn his loving family, wife Marg; son Wade (Maxine) Reid; daughter Tanya (Darrell) Churchill; grandchildren Kersten (Jake) and Bailey; sisters Joan (Walter) Parsons and Julie Sharpe; sister-in-law Maureen (Roy); nephews Jason (Emmie), Stephen (Angeline) and Mark; nieces Tina (Brad), Georgina (Ern), Tammy (Terry) and Tracey (Glen); and a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by parents George and Emma Reid; parents-in-law Walter and Gwenda Chafe and brother-in-law Gilbert Chafe. The Funeral Service will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, May 9, 2016 from St. Peter's Anglican Church and Cemetery, Upper Island Cove. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, CRANES ROAD, UPPER ISLAND COVE, on Saturday 1-9 p.m., Sunday 10:30 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Monday 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church Restoration Fund.
