Ralph Joseph "Joe" Howlett

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Joseph Howlett of Chapel Grove. Joe passed away unexpectedly on May 5th, 2016 after recent heart surgery. Joe was born May 18th, 1955 in Saint John, the son of Ralph and Joan (McBriarty) Howlett.
After graduating from Saint John Vocational School he pursued his career as an electrician. Joe was the proud owner of Peninsula Electric and he successfully operated his company for the past 30 years. He was a subcontractor at Clow Canada, retiring in October 2015.
Joe was one of a kind - plum crazy. He enjoyed people and was always up for a good laugh. Joe was generous and giving of himself. He was caring; a remarkably creative and inventive man. Many summers were spent on the Kennebecasis River boating with his friends. Countless hours were spent in his garage building and rebuilding just about anything.
His greatest love was his two daughters Kristin and Morgin (Silas Bellamy) followed by his loving partner Susan Coleman. He is survived by his mother Joan Howlett, sisters Rose Pitt (Gary), Judy Gamble (Gary), Karen Jones (Thane), Denise Howlett (Gig Keirstead), and Francine Baxter (Bill), sister-in-law Cathy Howlett, the mother of his children Angie Howlett (Evans), mother-in-law Helen Evans, sister-in-law Terri Moore (Glen), brothers-in-law Peter and Keith Evans, many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father Ralph Howlett, father-in-law Eldon Evans, brother Chris Howlett, and niece Hannah Jones.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Services are pending at this time. Please refer to the Fundy Funeral Home website as service details will be posted when confirmed.
