ROSBOROUGH, ALLEN RAY
The passing of Allen Ray Rosborough of Fredericton NB occurred peacefully at the Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the age of 91. A son of the late Eben and Ella Rosborough, Allen was born in Dumfries NB, on October 7, 1924, he was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
United by faith, Allen was retired from Wood Motors for several years and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 4 having served in the Canadian Military from 1944 to 1946. Allen was best known for being a member of the Regent Mall food court social club.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Erma (Robertson) Rosborough, several nieces and nephews including two chosen nephews Darren Egers and Mark Egers (Paola Lombardi) and special great-niece Adelynn.
Besides his parents, Allen was predeceased by one sister Marie and one brother Norman.
Visitation will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Thursday, May 12, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM only. A funeral service will be held from Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Kelly Burke officiating. Interment in the Rural Cemetery Extension immediately following the service.
