Blenkhorn, Earl ‘Bruds'. 1937-2016. The death of Earl Eugene Blenkhorn, 78, of Parrsboro, and formerly of Hamilton, ON, occurred on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre. Born in Windsor, NS, Earl was a son of the late Earl W. and Bessie (Frizzell) Blenkhorn. Earl was a Shriner in Hamilton, ON, and a member of the Scarborough, ON, Royal Canadian Legion. He was an avid golfer. Earl will be sadly missed by his wife, Vi (nee Powell), Parrsboro; daughters, Cindy (David) Newman, Hamilton, ON and Kathy Dey, Ajax, ON, and Mishell Emmanuele, Fergus, ON; his sister, Lynda (Erik) Liscio, Brampton, ON; as well as six grandchildren, three great grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Earl was predeceased by four brothers, Don, Bert, Fred, and Tom. Arrangements are under the care and supervision of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777). Honouring the families wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. A memorial service will be held in Hamilton, ON, at a later date. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Blenkhorn family in Parrsboro for their kindness and care. Donations in memory of Earl may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
