DIXON: Isabella Hill age 88 of Cadillac, SK passed away on April 30, 2016 at the Prairie Pioneer Lodge. The graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday May 5, 2016 from the Cadillac Community Cemetery with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. Music was provided by Cindy Gorrill and Ashley Tinant and the piper was Nicole Rewerts. Pallbearers were Curtis Thingvold, Trent Thingvold, Kelly Thingvold, Bart Bollinger, Bryce Evesque and Tyler Kendall. Belle is survived by her children Charlotte (John) Thingvold and their children Curtis (Janelle), Aspen and Sage; Trent (Christine) and their children Paisley and Austin; Kelly (Heather) and their children Alysa, Bree and Corbin; Carla (Bart) Bollinger and their daughter Hailey; Sharon Dixon; David (Trish) Dixon and their family Heidi (Craig) Cancade and Brooke, Sarah (Brendan) Vick, Daneya, Jazlyn, Leah (Patrick) Clarke, Teagen and Douglas; Ethel (Nelson) Dixon; Brenda (Ed) Jordan and their children Jesse and Riley (Kim); and Barbara Dixon. She is predeceased by her parents Barbara and David Reid; husband Dougal Dixon; son Steven Dixon; and sister Anne Moir. She attended school in Shaunavon, SK and on July 18, 1949 married Dougal Dixon in Shaunavon. Before she was married Belle was a school teacher at a country school near McCord, SK and at Cadillac School. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge, St. Pauls United Church, Home and School Association, Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Axiliary, the Hall Board, the Recreation Board, History Book Committie and the 50/50 Club all in Cadillac. Belle was a busy farm wife and mother who cooked wonderful meals, grew a garden and raised 150 to 200 chickens until she retired and moved to Swift Current, SK. True to her Scottish roots Belle drank tea for breakfast and all day long. Rumour has it that they were married for two weeks before Dougal mentioned he liked coffee in the morning. Belle loved to dance. Playing card and board games were always family favorites. Donations in Belle's memory may be made to the Cadillac Community Hall - Memorial Donation P.O.
