Bouctouche, NB – Elias Collette, 85, passed away peacefully at Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, May 12, 2016, after a brief illness.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Thaddée and Béatrice (Cormier) Collette.
Elias will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Georgina; his four daughters, Denise Leger (Charles) of Grande-Digue, Bernadine Cormier (Jules) of Ste-Marie, Monique Després (Vincent) and Jocelyne Collette both of Bouctouche; his brother, Émile Collette of St-Antoine; his two sisters, Zella LeBlanc (late Patrick) of Bouctouche and Mai Bourque (Ronald) of Shediac; his seven grandchildren, Mathieu, Isabelle, Michel, Marc-André, Sylvie, Vanessa and Jessica; his great grandson, Noah; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Lionel, Philippe, Alyre and Alban; three sisters, Jeanne, Élise and Madeleine.
Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. There will be no visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church in Bouctouche on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 am.
Donations to the Chu Dumont Foundation (Oncology) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
