CURRIE, ALONZO JAMES
The passing of Alonzo James Currie, husband of Christine (Lavigne) Currie, occurred on Saturday, May 14, 2016. Born on August 02, 1960 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Marjorie (Pickard) Currie and the late John “Jack” Currie.
Alonzo was a self-employed carpenter and enjoyed helping out in his community.
In addition to his wife and mother, Alonzo is survived by his sons, Robert Currie (Sarah) of Kingsley, NB and Tyler Currie (Olivia Egers) of Kingsley, NB; grandchildren, Austin, Thomas, Ivy, and Lucy; sisters, Wendy Sandwith (Winston) of Royal Road, NB and Wanda Williams (Ronald) of Kingsley, NB; brother, John Currie of Kingsley, NB; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB from 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Interment will take place at the Seymour Memorial Cemetery.
