1922 - 2016
Moncton, NB (formerly of Cocagne) – Edmond Cormier, 94, passed away peacefully at Villa du Repos in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, May 16, 2016. Born on Cocagne Island, NB, on April 14, 1922, he was the son of the late Édouard and Marie (Donelle) Cormier.
He was a fisherman for over 50 years and was always passionate about his work.
Edmond will be sadly missed by his wife, Auréa; his three daughters, Edmonde Cormier of Saint John, Elianne Brockbank (Robert) of Grande-Digue and Janice Cormier (François Maltais) of Moncton; his five grandchildren, Laura, Marc, Dominic, Zoé and Simon; also several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his five sisters, Exelda, Alfreda, Émerise, Ursule and Azèle; one brother, Alfred.
Visitations will be at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne slumber room in Cocagne on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral service will be held at St-Pierre-de-Cocagne Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 4 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
