Passed away peacefully on April 30, 2016 at the age of 50 at QEII Health Sciences Centre after a hard-fought battle against illness.
He was a son of the late Egyptian Air Marshal Fekry Ibrahim and Nadia Mattar.
He will be missed by his wife, Amal Ibrahim; his daughter, Mariam (14) and son, Mark (11); his brother Tamer Ibrahim (Salwa); his nephews, Youssef and Fady, Toronto; his brother-in-law, Sameh Pierre (Ghana); his niece Karen Pierre, Cairo, Egypt; and the rest of the family.
He was a loving, caring husband, father, friend and doctor. He is most fondly remembered for his tremendous kindness, giving and sense of humour. He enjoyed practicing medicine and looking after his patients in Cairo, Egypt, Newfoundland and during the past five years in New Glasgow.
The family would like to thank all staff of the Aberdeen Hospital and the QEII Health Science Centre for the wonderful care they gave Wael during the course of his illness. The family would also like to thank the Christian Coptic Orthodox Community in Halifax and the Trenton Church of the Nazarene.
A memorial service will take place in Trenton Church of the Nazarene on Saturday, May 21st at 11:00 AM.
