FITZSIMMONS, WILLARD "WILLIE" JAMES
Willard “Willie” J. Fitzsimmons, 54, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Helen (McNeil) and the late Willard Fitzsimmons Sr.
Willie was a self-employed truck driver contracted to Ayr Motors. He loved his job and driving his truck. Willie was always up for a good joke and enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Helen, Willie will be sadly missed by his wife, Shirley Hebert; daughters, Stacey Fitzsimmons (Jacob) of Toronto, ON and Stephanie Fitzsimmons (Wesley) of Moncton; sons, Matthew Hebert of Moncton, Mike Hebert (Kimberlee) of Indian Mountain and Steven Fitzsimmons of Moncton; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Caiden, Weston and Chloe; sister, Mary Cudmore (David) of Adamsville and brother, Dale Fitzsimmons of Moncton.
In addition to his father, he was predeceased by sister, Debbie Fitzsimmons.
No visitation hours by personal request. A Service to celebrate Willie’s life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Dan Steeves officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
In Willie’s memory, donations to Willie’s family, in care of PO Box 1002, Moncton, NB E1C 8P2, or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
