LLOYD, ELINOR MAY
Elinor May Lloyd, 95, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, May 8, 2016. Born in Sunny Brae, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Carolyn (Wheaton) Lloyd. She was retired from T. Eaton Co. Ltd. (Quarter Century Club) and Moyer’s School Supplies. She was a long-time member of Highfield Baptist Church and a Dominion Life member of the W.M.S. and the Sunshine Class. She also belonged to the Canadian Bible Society and the Brae Siders Senior’s Group. Elinor’s wonderful deserts were eagerly anticipated at regular family gatherings where she especially loved spending time with the younger members of the family. She also enjoyed frequent trips to various locations in eastern Canada, including recent outings from Spencer Home.
Elinor will be sadly missed by her sister, Dorothy Gaskin (John); brothers, Ashley (late Phyllis) and Harold (Betty), all of Moncton and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Elinor was predeceased by her brother, Fred (late Jean); sister, Lucy Blake (late John); sisters, Ethel and Joan (in childhood).
Elinor’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staffs of McNair Manor and Spencer Home for the wonderful care and kindness shown to Elinor during her time in those residences.
In honoring Elinor’s wishes, a private committal service was held at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
