TRITES, HESTER
1916-2016
Hester Trites, 99, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Friday ,May 20, 2016 at the Drew Nursing Home in Sackville. Born on November 10, 1916 in Sackville, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel (Sumner) Wood.
She is survived by five children: Ann (Black) Cornellier of Ottawa, Elizabeth Isla Trites of Sackville, Jane Trites of Ottawa, Hester Trites of Moncton and Richard Trites of Moncton; two grandchildren: John (Marian) Cornellier and Germaine Cornellier: four great-grandchildren; Alex, Hugo, Marie and Julia; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, John Black (1944) and second husband Horace Trites (1982); two sisters: Margaret “Bunny” Black and Ann Gordon; a brother Josiah Wood.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Friday, May 27 at 11am. A reception at the centre will be held after the service. Interment will be in St-Martin’s in the Woods Anglican Cemetery in Shediac.
In memory of Hester, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
