1926 - 2016
Edith Irving, of Riverview, NB; passed away peacefully with family by her side at Monarch Hall, on Sunday, May 22, 2016 in her 90th year. Born in Edgett’s Landing she was the daughter of the late John and Flossie (Christopher) Fenton.
Edith enjoyed the simple things in life, her biggest joys were her family and especially her grandchildren she loved spending time with the whole family. There are many fond memories over the years at their cottage in Alma. She and her husband enjoyed travelling in their motor home with family and friends.
A loving wife, mother, sister and gram she will be missed by her daughters Carolyn and Wayne Forbes of Riverview, Connie and Jim Martin of Alma and Karla Richard of Upper Coverdale; sons Jack and Paige of Dawson Settlement, Wayne and Cathy Dallaire of Upper Coverdale, and Scott and Maureen of Riverview; sister Kate Wilson of Moncton, 12 adoring grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her devoted husband Paul E. Irving in 2014; daughters Paula Vanshick and Peggy in Infancy; son in law David Richard and daughter in law Kimberly (Blair); sisters Ruby and Ada; brothers Charles, Eldon, Ted, Cam and Gus.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The celebration of life will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview funeral home chapel on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 1:00pm followed by a reception at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Grey's Island Cemetery where Edith will be laid rest with her husband.
Donations in Edith's memory made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
