Passed peacefully away at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony on Thursday, May 5, 2016, surrounded by her loving family, Maisie Margaret Mitchelmore at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn her sons Tom (Peggy), Ross (Linda), and George (Kim); daughters Brenda (Frank), and Shelia; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sisters Melinda Coates, Mattie McGregor, and Marguerite Walker; brother-in-law Warren Fifield; sister-in-law Loretta Hodge and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Guy Mitchelmore, parents George and Emily Hodge, great-grandson Baby Drew, brothers Maxwell, Malcolm, Mark, and Montriee, sisters Marie Fifield and Marcia Coles. Visitation was held at the Anglican Church in Main Brook from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, May 7 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Skinner officiating. Interment followed in the Main Brook Anglican Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, Siobhan Mauger, funeral director.
