Passed peacefully away at the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia on March 28, 2016 Mrs. Beatrice A. Murphy (Houlihan) age 102 years of Freshwater, P. Bay. She was born in Argentia on September 13, 1913. Predeceased by parents Michael & Mary Houlihan, brothers and sisters Lucy Hunt (Maurice), Anastasia, Angela Antle (Thomas), Agnes, Edith Houlihan (James) William (Eileen) and Michael. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Pius, daughters Mary Roche (Dick) and Ann Smith (Bud), grandchildren David (Christine), Michael(Susan) & Nancy (Darren), great-grandchild Rory, many nieces and nephews, special nephew Billy Houilhan (Jenny), a large circle of other relatives and friends especially the special staff and residents of the Lions Manor Nursing Home, Placentia. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia on Wednesday & Thursday from 2;00 - 4;00 & 7:00 - 9:00. Funeral Mass to take place on Friday April 1, at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater at 11;00 a.m. Interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast, Placentia.

Passed away at the Placentia Health Care Center on Monday, May 23, 2016, Mr. Pius Murphy age 89 of Freshwater (formerly of Iona). Predeceased by his wife Beatrice on March 28, 2016, parents Dennis and Mary Murphy; brothers Ned (Bridge), Dennis (Rose), Francis (Hannah), Ron (Rita), Jack (Adrienne) and sister Nellie (Hubert) Folkes. Leaving to mourn daughter Ann (Bud) Smith, Dunville, grandchildren Nancy (Darren MacDonald), Ft McMurray, Michael (Susan),St. Philips, great grandson Rory MacDonald, many nieces, nephews and friends especially Wayne Fulford and Tony Barry. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00. Funeral Mass to take place at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater on Friday May 27, 2016 at 11:00 A.M., with interment to follow in Coombs Memorial Cemetery, Southeast.
