After a lengthy illness, Richard David Gallant passed away in Hamilton, Ontario on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at the age of 68 years.
He lived a full life, traveling worldwide as part of his 35-year career in the Air Force. He was predeceased by his parents J. Frank and Kathleen (Kitty) Gallant and by two of his brothers, Deryl (1998) and Roger (2015). He is survived by his brother Gary, Sarnia, Ontario, Frankie (Audrey) Stratford, P.E.I., and sister Gladys Martin (Gary), Chatham, Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and their families who he adored.
Cremation has taken place in Hamilton, Ontario. A memorial remembrance will be held in Charlottetown at a later date. Donations in Rick’s memory can be made to The Upper Room Hospitality Ministry, 101 Richmond St., Charlottetown, PE, C1A 1H7.
