It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Erwin Epstein, who died peacefully at home on Thursday, May 26, 2016 on the day of his 63rd wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Sylvia; children, Sandra and Michael (Catherine) and five grandchildren, (-Neesa, Geoffrey, David, Alexander and Johanna.Further survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives, he will be fondly missed.
Born and raised in Sydney, N.S., Erwin was a successful businessman and a well-known, respected member of the community. Although he was always a Cape Bretoner at heart, Sylvia and Erwin moved to Toronto in 1994 where they enjoyed many happy years of retirement, travelling between Florida, Vancouver and the Maritimes. Erwin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend with such a strong spirit and zest for life. His gregarious, uplifting and positive outlook stayed with him until the end and will forever be an inspiration.
At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. West (3 lights west of Dufferin) for service on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. Interment Beth David B'nai Israel Beth Am Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery.
