MICHAUD, EDMÉE
1928 – 2016
Edmée Michaud, 88 of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home, early on Saturday morning May 28, 2016. She was married to the late Clément Michaud (2004). Born in Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and the late Victorine (Richard) LeBlanc.
Edmée travelled across Canada and Europe with her family during her husband’s service with the Canadian Armed Forces maintaining her pride as an Acadian, humility, and generous demeanour. She took pride in her career as the priest’s caretaker at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Parish until her retirement. She will be missed for her love of cooking, gardening, a game of cards or bingo always with a smile and a laugh.
She will be sadly missed by her two children; Diane Babineau (Mario) and Donald (Claudette) both of Aldouane, her two grandsons; Diego and Denis and three great grandchildren; Gabriel, Lucas and Veronica as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by three sisters; Geneva, Elizabeth and Rita and four brothers; Emile, Alyre, Néri and Léandre.
Visitations will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Monday, May 30, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Anne-de-Kent Church on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Edmée’s memory donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation or to the NB Extra Mural Funds.
