Passed peacefully away on Tuesday morning, May 31st in the presence of her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with cancer, Amelda Boland of Renews (formerly of Merasheen, Placentia Bay). Amelda was predeceased by her father Anthony Wilson (1987) and father-in-law James Boland (1986), also her special friends Janine Walsh (1992) and Marion Ryan (2003). Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of almost 26 years Jerry, two special daughters Danielle Landrie (Samuel) and Shae-Lynn, as well as three precious grandchildren Julia, Jacob and four month old Layla, her mother Teresa Baines and step-father Wilfred, her only sister and best friend Cecily Guiney (Michael) and her only brother Jim and his wife Anita and their families, her mother-in-law Rita Boland, brother-in-law Derm, sister-in-law Donna Clancey (Bob), aunts Julia McIvor and Violet Pomroy, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, neighbours and friends, especially Cathy Lynch, Grace Sutton, Kevin and Madonna Ryan, June and Dennis Mayo, and Blaine Turner (aka Blainey Boo). Also mourning her loss are her guiding sisters throughout the province, especially the girls and leaders in Shamrock district where she was a loving and dedicated member for the past 27 years. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation from 2-9 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, June 1st and 2nd. Funeral Mass on Friday, June 3rd at 11 am from Holy Apostles Church, Renews.
