Jeannine Kelly

KELLY, JEANNINE
It is with much sadness that the family of Jeannine Kelly announce her passing which occurred at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday June 4, 2016 after a lengthy battle with kidney disease. She was born in Moncton NB on February 9, 1937.

She is survived and will be missed by her husband of 57 years, Bradley, daughter and son–in–law Bonnie and Joseph Sturgeon, and her sweet calico cat Penny. She is predeceased sadly by many friends and family, as well as beloved pets. Jeannine worked for many years at Ford’s Pharmacy as a Certified Drug Clerk. She so enjoyed her job and working with the customers. She reminded her family of this not long before her passing. She was an avid reader and always had a mystery on the night stand. She liked to keep up with current events and read the daily newspaper cover to cover. She never shied away from a heated discussion on current events and local politics. Jeannine loved to clip and collect recipes and discuss cooking and food with family and friends. She enjoyed visiting the family cottage in Cocagne in summer and it was filled with many of her bargains from yards sales over the years.

Her family would like to thank the staff of 4th floor kidney unit and the dialysis unit at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, for their care and patience. A special thanks must go out to Jeff and his staff at Jeff’s Care Shuttle. They made sure that Jeannine made it to and from her dialysis treatments these past two and a half years. The care and conversations meant so much to her during a difficult time.

Visitation will be at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm, with a memorial service immediately afterwards at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Scott Ryder officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment Stilesville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations of remembrance may be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Foundation, the SPCA of Greater Moncton, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
