September 6, 1954 - May 29, 2016
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Ryan on May 29, 2016, to a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra, his children John (Catherine) and Diana (Dave), and his extended family. He was predeceased by his father Michael Sr., his mother Theresa, and his sister Rita.
Originally born in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, he joined the RCMP and spent his entire 35 year career in policing in metro Vancouver. He had only moved to Pender Harbour five years ago to fulfill his retirement dream, where he enjoyed sailing, woodworking and the great outdoors. He was an active volunteer in the community, and took a special interest in the Rotary Club of Pender Harbour.
There will be a private family service by request.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
