GILMORE, WILBUR HAZEN
The passing of Wilbur Hazen Gilmore of Fredericton, NB, husband of Alice (Turner) Gilmore occurred on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Hospice House, Fredericton, NB, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 12, 1937 in North Head, Grand Manan, NB, he was the son of the late C. Claude and Belva (Daggett) Gilmore.

Wilbur was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church. He was an Engineering Technician for the Department of Transportation for 37 years. Wilbur was on the Board for both the Christian Action Federation of New Brunswick and the NBPEA.

In addition to his wife, Wilbur is survived by his daughter, Cathy Hickey (Randy) of Fredericton, NB; son, Chris Gilmore (Joan Lawrence) of Saint John, NB; grandsons, Joshua McLean of Fredericton, NB and Jeremy McLean (Diana) of Yarmouth, NS; great–grandson, Tyler McLean; sisters–in–law, Zella Gilmore of North Head, Grand Manan, NB, Patricia Smith and Nancy MacDonald (Donald) both of Lower Sackville, NS; double first cousin, Arthur Gilmore (Joane) of Truro, NS; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his extended family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jerome Gilmore and sister, Hazel Gilmore.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 4 to 8 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2 pm with Rev. Peter Lohnes officiating.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Christian Action Federation of New Brunswick, Hospice House Fredericton or the Grace Memorial Baptist Church.
