NICHOLSON, ROBERT "NICK" PATRICK
The passing of Robert “Nick” Patrick Nicholson ofFredericton, NB, husband of Phyllis (Naugle) Nicholson occurred on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on July 17, 1940 inLakeside, NS, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Day) Nicholson.

Nick was a Firefighter for DND, CFB Gagetown, NB. He was previously a volunteer at Lakeside Fire Department, NS and Barker’s Point Fire Department. Nick enjoyed hunting, oil painting, carpentry and was an avid genealogist. Nick also enjoyed socializing with his friends for coffee at the mall.

In addition to his wife Phyllis of 55 years, Nick is survived by his daughters, Darlene Torok (Rob) of Edmonton, AB, Terri Rigby of Edmonton, AB, Roberta Burgess (Dave) of New Maryland, NB and Dawn Clowater (Barry) of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Erica, Amanda, Matthew, Sara, Connor, Keegan and Alexa; sisters, Catherine Nicholson and Lynne Theriault both of Digby, NS; brother, Michael (Myrna) of Halifax, NS; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth Bennett and Karen Nicholson; brothers, Ronnie and James.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 7 to 9 pm. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11 am with Father Monte Peters officiating.

Special thanks for the care provided by Dr. McKim, Dr. Kerr, Dr. Moore, Dr. Barry, Dr. MacKinnon as well as the Nurses and Staff of 3E, especially Kim, Kristen and Johanne.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
