It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Miller wish to announce his passing on June 7, 2016 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital with his loving family by his side.

Philip was born on July 23, 1934 in Oromocto, NB. He worked as the Chief Estimator and Engineer at Strescon Limited for 35 years. Philip graduated from Franklin Tech in Boston, MA and started his career at Ocean Steel & Construction as a draftsman. Outside of work, Philip enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid golfer and belonged to the Westfield Golf & Country Club for a number of years. Early in his life he was a baseball player well known in the province as an exceptional pitcher. Philip was the son of the late Urban Miller and Lulu Cogswell.

Philip will be sadly missed by his son Andrew Miller of Fredericton, NB; sister Shirley Hindson of the Northwest Territories; grandchildren Lauren Miller and Brady Miller of Fredericton, NB. Philip will also be missed by his special niece and nephew Joanne and Clinton Carr and their children Katlyn, Philip, and Christopher who Philip thought of as grandchildren. Other than his parents, Philip was predeceased by his brothers and their wives Doug Miller (Eileen), Gerald Miller (Mabel), Lee Miller (Marion), Ronald Miller (Edit) and sister Marie Carr.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634–1701). A Visitation will be held on Thursday June 9, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday June 10, 2016 at 2:00 pm from Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Greenwood cemetery. A reception will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Center following the service.
