It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Cecelia "Cece" Weatherbee, age 64, of Amherst, NS. Cece passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre with family by her side.
Born in Sackville, NB, she was a daughter of the late Lorne and Laura (Lorette) Wolfe.
Cece worked for 32 years at the Maritime Tel & Tel Company. An avid outdoors person, she loved hunting, four-wheeling and snowmobiling. She was the past president of the Cumberland Riders Four Wheeler Club and a past member of the Collingwood Snowmobile Association. She loved touring and spending time out and about, but as a dedicated wife and mother, above all came her family.
She will be dearly missed by her loving husband of 43 years Anson Weatherbee; her sons Jason, Amherst, NS, and Adam, Halifax, NS; brothers Bill (Melanie), Amherst, NS and Wade (Debbie), Chignecto, NS; Aunt Vicki (Burton) Wood, Joggins, NS; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her brother Ricky.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, N.S. where the family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at 11 am. Cremation will take place after the funeral service followed by burial in the Westchester Cemetery.
Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the NS Liver Association, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the charity of your choice.
